LUSH Twilight Bath Bomb

You know as a little kid, you would look forward to the bubblegum scented baths? Yep, I do. I wanted to experience that as an adult too, except with different scents. My mom has a bunch of bath salts in her bathroom, but only uses them of decoration. Such a shame because she has a nice huge bathtub. But while she is gallivanting in the Philippines, I decided to treat myself to the LUSH Twilight Bath Bomb, for $6.55.

I love fresh lavender scents, which is what this bath bomb had (lavender oil). Strong flowery scents are my thing, so when I dropped it in the warm water, I wasn't excepting a burst of sweet (almost like candy) scents to show up. I liked it, but I really wanted and expected a more earthy scent. But then again, this is my first experience with the bath bombs.

What I found fascinating was that as it started to dissolve, some blue started showing up underneath the pink, and there seemed to be some yellow warts. What I noticed was this bath bomb had a really creamy texture. Then upon doing my research (AKA looking at the product description on the very on LUSH website) was that Cream of Tartare was the 3rd ingredient which was responsible for that smooth feel.

The blue leaked all over, which just overall made me go "oooh" and "ahh". Then, the pink ball broke in half (like cell division), turning the bathtub all blue until the pink remains dissolved.

A really soaked Twilight Bath Bomb

Lastly, what's a full bath experience without music, a book, wine, or a treat? I bought Life Without Limits by Nick Vujicic, a super inspiring Christian motivational speaker who was born without arms or legs, but still manages to live a full, blessed life touching others with his testimony. Reading it is like talking to a friend that will motivate me to keep hope and not give up on my dreams. Once I finish it, I will review it on this blog.

Overall, my bath experience was lovely, and my dry ashy skin felt so smooth afterwards. I can totally see why baths relax people. I was going to have chamomile afterwards, but the lavender calmed me down so much that I no longer needed it!

I bought the Milky Bath Bubble Bar, which I can't wait to try. I also want to try other Bubble Bars, like Rose Jam Bubbleroon, Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds, and Green.

Have you tried LUSH bath bombs or bubble bars? What do you think of them? Or do you have other types of baths that you prefer? Let me know!
